Generation Z actor Robert Lindsay married to famous star with Strictly link
Robert Lindsay has been on our screens for decades, and he's perhaps best known for his roles in Generation Z and the hit sitcom, My Family. His wife, Rosemarie Ford, is also no stranger to the limelight, having hosted The Generation Game on BBC One from 1990 to 1994 alongside late Strictly Come Dancing host Bruce Forsyth.
Bruce and Rosemarie struck up a bond that remained until his death in 2017. In recent years, she told The Mirror how he made her feel at home during her stint on the show. She said: “I walked into the rehearsal room, and he put me at ease immediately. He sat down with me every single day over a cup of tea.”
Rosemarie added: “He was such a great friend. I think about him all the time. I still can’t believe he’s not here. If someone goes, ‘It’s nice to see you’ I always want to say, ‘To see you, nice’.”

The 62-year-old former dancer later went on to host Come Dancing on BBC One, which was also fronted by the late Sir Terry Wogan and presenter Angela Rippon. Rosemarie even presented the final episode, which was a 50th anniversary special, from London's Royal Albert Hall in London on December 29, 1998.
It was around this time that she reportedly met her husband-to-be, Robert, who was still married to actress Diana Weston.
Addressing his split from Diana, Robert told the Daily Mail : "The break-up was caused by the pressure acting exerts on domestic life." Robert and former My Family star Diana share a daughter named Sydney Stevenson together.
After dating Cats star Rosemarie for a long time after his breakup from Diana, the pair tied the knot in 2006 and received a blessing from their local church in Buckinghamshire that New Year's Eve.
According to The Standard, Rosemarie, who was 44 at the time, wore a gorgeous floor-length red gown for the church service and left while being serenaded by the village brass band, which played "Jingle Bless."
Around 100 guests gathered in the church to sing carols accompanied by a 12-piece brass band. Robert described the wedding as "the party of a lifetime" before they jetted off to Marrakesh, in Morocco, for their sun-soaked honeymoon.
The pair share two children together, Samuel, 24, and James, 21. While James has stayed out of the spotlight, his brother Samuel appears to have a job within the showbiz industry. According to his LinkedIn, he works as a video assistant for Treasure Island Entertainment.
