Forget Hygge - it's all about Còsagach
If you're totally over the Danish concept of Hygge and you're already tired of Lagom, this new Scottish lifestyle trend might be more your style.
Còsagach is an old Gaelic word for the feeling of being snug, sheltered or cosy and according to VisitScotland, it's set to be one of the biggest trends of 2018.

Inspired by Hygge, which has seen many people reach peak cosiness in recent years, the tourist board is encouraging businesses to create escapes that 'induce a feeling of warmth or cosiness' to help visitors 'relax and unwind'.
In a paper on the new concept, it says the country's 'tranquil seascapes, vast open spaces and many warm and welcoming pubs' make Scotland the ideal place to boost wellbeing and contentment.
'Scotland is a country where Còsagach can be achieved in all seasons, but it's winter when it comes into its own,' it says. 'It's no secret that Scotland can have, at times, rather harsh and ferocious weather.
'In the winter when the storms rage and the waves crash against the rocks, there is nothing more satisfying than being curled up in front of the fire, book and hot toddy in hand, listening to the weather outside.'
