Our favourite french brand is collabing with Barbour again

Not long ago, our Fashion Director introduced the Red team to her new go-to French brand, Balzac Paris, and ever since the whole team (and our readers) have been hooked.

The brand, which was founded back in 2014, has had the seal of approval from the likes of our forever style icon Sienna Miller and counts the Princess of Wales as a fan, too.

And just last October, UK fans were rewarded as Balzac was finally available on home turf, and personally we couldn’t wait to fill our wardrobes with the label’s Peter Pan collars, ruffles, leopard prints and stripes.

In our opinion, Balzac strikes the perfect balance between producing staples you know you’ll wear forever (hello, striped shirts), while mixing in a playful element that keeps pieces trend-led and compliment-worthy. Which is why we were particularly excited to hear the brand was collaborating with heritage British countrywear brand Barbour for a second time.

Yes, back by popular demand (the previous collection last October sold out within an hour of launching) Balzac Paris x Barbour drops online on Saturday, 12 October.

This new limited edition capsule blends Balzac Paris’s 'je ne sais quoi' cool with Barbour’s practical and weatherproof designs, offering eight pieces that offer a more joyful take on the traditional wax jacket and countrycore aesthetic.

“The collection has expanded this season to include new styles that we’re really excited about, adding a real Barbour twist to Balzac’s favourite silhouettes” says Nicola Brown, Director of Womenswear.

Highlights include waxed cotton jackets featuring Balzac Paris's signature leopard print contrast lining for added flare, as well as bold knitwear in statement shades. You also never have to worry about ruining a pair of your favourite leather ankle boots again, thanks to the rubber wellington-inspired design Balzac Paris x Barbour have created.

Here’s a first look at the pieces ahead of the launch on Saturday, 12 October...
