Emma Watson reveals what's in her handbag, including vegan deodorant and tooth mousse

Emma Watson has shared the contents of her handbag – and suffice to say she likes to carry her world around with her.

In a short video filmed for British Vogue, the actor and activist dipped inside her handbag to show viewers what she has inside.

“My friends call me ‘The bag lady’, and the reason for this is that I don’t really pack light,” the 29-year-old joked.

They say you can learn a lot about a woman from her handbag, and Watson certainly gives us some insight into her lifestyle.

She begins by pulling out a folded scarf, explaining: “I’m always freezing cold so I’m always carrying a scarf.”

Watson also reveals that she carts around two phones – “My work phone and my personal phone” – but both are “usually dead”, a strategy she uses to counteract her “stressful life”.

Instead, she appears to practice mindful behaviours instead including reading (currently, there’s a copy of Tony Morrison’s ‘Beloved’ in her bag) and writing in her 5 Minute Journal – “You get to write three things you’re grateful for and an affirmation.”

There were some eco-conscious choices included in the line-up, including a glass straw and re-usable make up pads by Tabitha Eve, together with vegan deodorant by Aurelia – “Essential. It smells good. It doesn’t have a load of nasty crap in it”.

Unexpected items also included a pack of Nutella & Go! complete with mini breadsticks and a small piglet toy, together with everyday essentials such as a tampons and a hot water bottle.
