The & Other Stories Black Friday sale is always one of the biggies to watch out for come November. Because, although the Scandi brand can drop a decent sale, you're unlikely to spy a promotional code or even student discounts throughout the rest of the year.
So if you want one of its cult cropped cardigans or a great pair of knee-high boots, you'll need to pay full price, as items like these usually sell out rather than make it into clearance: until Black Friday, that is. Last year, the brand offered 20% off absolutely everything when you spent £60 or more.

Black Friday has overtaken Boxing Day as the biggest retail event of the year. Which makes sense really, since no-one wants to venture out of their Boxing Day food coma to brave the shops... and most of us are broke after Christmas anyway.

What even is Black Friday?
Originally an American holiday, Black Friday is thought to have been dreamed up by department store Macy’s in the 1930s. The annual event didn't get its name until later on in the 1980s, though.It wasn't until decades later that UK retailers started cashing in on the shopping event. Fast forward to 2023, and Black Friday is basically bigger than Boxing Day sales, with most high street and even some luxury stores taking part.

The Scandi brand has taken part in Black Friday for the past six years, so we're guessing it's a fan.
What about Cyber Monday?
We've got good news: the & Other Stories deals are bound to get even better once Cyber Monday rolls around. So if that 20% off for Black Friday doesn't quite do it for you, the brand does tend to reduce selected lines by up to 70% in a classic clearance sale later on in the weekend. Here's hoping it'll be the same for 2024.
When is the & Other Stories Black Friday sale?
Black Friday usually falls on the fourth weekend of November, which this year is November 29. & Other Stories has launched its sale a day early for the past six years now, letting its most loyal customers shop deals early with a VIP code.
What was in & Other Stories Black Friday sale last year?
Last year, & Other Stories offered a 20% blanket code off everything, which lasted the whole weekend through to Cyber Monday. Anything new-season was fair game – so coats, knitwear, dresses, shoes, boots, jewellery, accessories and beauty.
On top of that, there was 50% off selected lines which continued for a couple of weeks, eventually reaching discounts of up to 70% off. This clearance sale included pre-fall and old season goodies, ranging from trench coats and lightweight knits to summer dresses and swimwear.
