Duchess of Cambridge rewears Christening dress for Anzac Day service
The Duchess of Cambridge made a surprise appearance at a service of commemoration marking Anzac Day on Monday, joining her husband Prince William in honouring troops from Australia and New Zealand who died in the First and Second World Wars.
Leaving their three children at home for the event, the senior royals attended the service hosted by the Dean of Westminster on behalf of the Queen, and joined hundreds of guests from Australia and New Zealand's communities in the UK at the Westminster Abbey commemoration service.
Kate, 40, dazzled in a recognisable white coat dress by Alexander McQueen for the occasion, pairing it with a coordinating tweed headband by Jane Taylor London, and finished off her monochrome look with a Jenny Packham black suede clutch and her trusty Gianvito Rossi 'Gianvito 105' black suede pumps.

Kate also accessorised with a pair of gold drop pearl earrings, and wore a poppy on the lapel of her ivory coat dress as a sign of remembrance and respect.
The Duchess cut a crisp figure in the bright white knee-length dress coat designed by British designer Alexander McQueen, which was also the fashion house behind her 2011 lace wedding gown.
The long-sleeved coat dress also featured a nipped-in waist and v-neck collar.

The dress has been worn several times before by Kate, showing her continued efforts to opt for sustainable choices by recycling outfits when in the public eye.
The mother-of-three first wore the designer coat dress in 2015 to the Christening of her second child, Princess Charlotte, at the Church of St Mary Magdalene in Sandringham.
The Duchess has since worn the dress on four other occasions, including Anzac day on April 25, so it's fairly safe to say that it's one of her favoured styles.
She rewore the Ivory look in July 2016, for the Trooping the Colour celebrations in London; in July 2017, while attending a commemorations ceremony in Belgium; she wore a pale yellow version in 2018 to the wedding of her brother-in-law Prince Harry to Meghan Markle; and finally, had a pale blue version made to wear to the The Royal Air Force's 100th birthday service in July 2018.

According to The Telegraph the Duchess had been expected to miss the Anzac Day service – which marks the anniversary of the start of the First World War Gallipoli landings, and is a national day of remembrance for Australia and New Zealand – but was able to attend following a change to her diary, and it is nice to see her reaching for a tried and tested outfit for the occasion.
