Ever suspected that celebrities’ ‘no-make-up’ selfies aren’t what they seem?

Whether it’s a sophisticated camera, cutting-edge lighting or you know, make up you reckon could be making them look so flawless?

Cue Drew Barrymore, who’s blown all of these ‘nude’ shots right out of the water with what looks like an actual 100% make-up-free selfie.

How can we tell? Because that’s what we actually look like in the mornings.

Messy hair, untamed eyebrows and all.

Drew shared the snap yesterday on Instagram along with the caption “OH MY GOD how did I let it get this bad. Base and brows needed.”

And the internet – understandably – can’t get enough of it.

“Thank you for posting a pic of a person looking like a real, living person as opposed to the new norm which is flawless frozen and embalmed,” one person wrote underneath the post.

These are just things I love or have discovered that I wanted to share. I am convinced if we take good care of ourselves, we will feel better and less distracted by our own funny insecurities. While another said that it was “fab to see a real pic, and that grey hair, stray eyebrows, no makeup is life”.

Or as one fan summed up in a short-but-sweet comment: “Thank you for being REAL!”

Barrymore is no woman to shy away from sharing honest, real-life photos.
