David Gandy has expressed his disappointment with British Airways after he was separated from his two year old on a four-hour flight. The model, 44, took to Twitter to share his frustration, saying: "So @British_Airways you have oversold the flight. Seats allocated to us have disappeared and you think its ok for my 2 year old to be sat on her own next to a stranger? What if there's an emergency? BA: well nothing we can do so yes its ok. COME on BA you can do better than this."

David was travelling home to London from Marrakesh with his girlfriend Stephanie Mednoros and their two children. The couple welcomed their second daughter, Tabitha Isabella, in 2021. Despite being Britain's highest-paid male model and reportedly worth £12million, David keeps his private life under wraps. He has been dating barrister Stephanie for four years.

When approached for comment, British Airways told OK!: "We're very sorry this happened and are investigating so we can understand how it occurred. We'll also be reaching out to our customer to put it right."

The family were returning from a holiday at the luxurious Mandarin Oriental Marrakech, where they stayed in a £1000 per night suite. Before his flight home, David posted on Instagram praising the resort and its team, writing: "From the totally private pools to the oasis of serenity of 20 hectares of olive groves and gardens, mountain views to the small farm for the children and just 10 minutes away from the famous Medina. I can't say enough about the @mo_marrakech resort and the incredible team that looked after my family and I."

His tweet about the flight incident received responses suggesting others had experienced similar situations. One person responded: "I had this exact thing happen to some private customers of mine."

"They were a party of 8 with 3 children, not one of them had a seat together even though they pre booked them." Another traveller chimed in: "This happened to my 5 yr old son and I also with BA on our flight home from Alicante in August."

In June, James Corden confronted a British Airways employee after nightmarish flight from the Algarve to London, which was forced to stop in Lisbon. The 46 year old star was among the passengers on the turbulent trip where children were left 'traumatised' during a bumpy descent into the Portuguese capital.

Elizabeth Hurley also warned fans to ‘avoid flying,’ saying she was left ‘stranded’ at Antigua airport for more than 12 hours when her British Airways flight was delayed. In 2022 the actress hit out at the airline when her and other passengers were reportedly left without food or water for 20 hours.
