Coronation Street's DS Lisa Swain actress Vicky Myers has lookalike daughter - who's just like Betsy from soap

Coronation Street star Vicky Myers is one of the most popular stars in the show right now, having been made a regular cast member earlier this year.

However away from the soap, Vicky is mum to 27-year-old daughter Meghan. Back in November 2023, she took to Instagram to share a variety of snaps dedicated to her lookalike daughter to mark her birthday. She told her 20.1K followers: "Happy 27th Birthday Little Miss Myers/Mrs.Henderson. Oh how I love you," followed by a snippet from 'to our daughters'. In the snaps, Vicky could be seen posing alongside her daughter throughout the years including glimpses into her childhood, hen do and wedding day.

Fans couldn't believe the resemblance between the mother-and-daughter duo with one commenting: "She's your double Vicky!" Another added: "You are TWINS!"

Meghan has the same blonde hair and similar style to her famous mum who has recently become a regular on the cobbles.

But it also seems like Vicky's real-life daughter Meghan also looks pretty similar to Vicky's on-screen daughter Betsy Swain, who also shares a similar shade of blonde hair.

Viewers were no stranger to Vicky appearing on the cobbles as DS Lisa Swain as the detective sergeant was first seen in 2021 when she led the police investigation into the assaults on Nina Lucas and Seb Franklin which led to the latter's death.

Earlier this year, Vicky also sent her onscreen daughter, actress Sydney Martin, well wishes for her birthday.

Posting an image to her Instagram story, Vicky shared a selfie of herself and Sydney captioning it: "Happy birthday Sydney! Hope you've had a wonderful day, you beautiful woman! Love you."

The actresses, who play mother and daughter duo in Weatherfield, have been at the forefront of some of the soap's biggest storylines in recent months.

But away from TV, Vicky previously opened up about the concurrent cancer struggle and divorce that preceded her career-high role as DS Lisa Swain.

Diagnosed in the same tumultuous year as her separation, Vicky was forced to put her acting aspirations on hold. Financial hardships hit hard, and she resorted to taking on ironing work to make ends meet.

She stepped away from the audition circuit, opting instead for office work while caring for her daughter Meghan.

She told The Mirror about her diagnosis, 14 years after the ordeal: "I don't know if it's my previous medical history, but I am so proud to be here and just to be living each day to the full.

"When my husband and I split up, I was quite down, bitter and vengeful, and when I was told I had [cancer], I remember thinking, 'If this is it for me, I've missed out on all this time with my daughter and I haven't really been the best person that I wanted to be.'

"The diagnosis re-centred me and made me focus on what is really important and what makes me happy. Now, every time I go into work and see the Coronation Street sign, it's quite overwhelming."

DS Lisa Swain has been on the ITV soap since 2021, but earlier this year viewers were introduced to her rebellious daughter Betsy.

Not much is known about DS Swain's life other than the fact she has a daughter, Betsy, and her partner Becky - Betsy's other mum - tragically died.
