Christmas opening times for Tesco, Asda, Aldi, Sainsbury's and more
Christmas is almost here, but if you still haven’t sorted out your festive food, don’t panic.
Here are all the the festive opening hours over the holiday period - including Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day - for all major supermarkets.
Most stores across the UK will close on Christmas Day, but hours will vary from shop to shop throughout the festive period.
Tesco Christmas opening times
Tesco Extras, Superstores and Metro stores will open at their usual time on Christmas Eve and close at 7pm.
Express stores will close at 10pm.
All Tesco stores across the country will be shut on Christmas Day.
On Boxing Day, Tesco Extras, Superstores and Metro stores in England, Scotland and Wales will be open from 9am to 6pm.
Express stores will be open 8am to 10pm and all petrol stations will run from 8am to 7pm.
Check ahead before making the trip to Tesco, as once again opening hours will vary depending on the size of the store.

Aldi Christmas opening times
Most Aldi stores will have reduced opening hours on Christmas Eve (December 24), from 8am to 6pm.
On Christmas Day and Boxing Day, Aldi will remain closed.
Then on December 27, 28 and 30, shops will be open from 8am to 8pm.

Sainsburys Christmas opening times
Sainsburys Christmas opening times will vary depending on whether the store is a Sainsburys Local or supermarket, and on the size and location.
It’s best to check your local shop using their store locator.
Most larger Sainsbury’s stores will open and close a bit earlier on December 24, from 6am to 11pm in some cases.
All Sainsbury's stores will be closed on Christmas Day, and Boxing Day will have reduced hours with most superstores open from 9am to 6pm.

Morrisons Christmas opening times
With just under 500 stores in the UK, you can use this online store finder to locate your nearest one.
Most Morrisons stores will open from 6am to 6pm on December 24.
Shops will then be closed on Christmas Day.
On Boxing Day, most stores will open from 9am to 6pm.
From December 27 to December 30, normal hours will resume.

Hours will then be normal from December 27 until New Year’s Eve.

Waitrose Christmas opening times
Shop opening hours vary at Waitrose, with customers advised to check times of individual shops online.
There will be normal hours in the run up to Christmas Eve, apart from some stories being open for extended hours on Dec 20, 21 and 23 until 11pm for convenience stores and 10pm for supermarkets.
Most Waitrose shops will be open from 7am to 6pm on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, with some opening until 10pm.
They’ll be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
