Cara Delevingne's new tiny fringe has Audrey Hepburn vibes
Fringes have cemented their place as one of the key hair trends for autumn/winter 2024, but until now, it's been all about the 'curtain bangs' seen on Dakota Johnson, Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sarah Michelle Gellar and co. Cara Delevingne's new micro fringe, however, could be about to shake things up for the rest of the season...
The model and actor debuted her latest hair transformation on the red carpet of the LACMA Art and Film Gala on Saturday (2 November), with the rest of her hair swept into a textured bun. The epitome of elegant glamour, Cara's chic look reminded us of Hollywood icon Audrey Hepburn's iconic style and beautifully accentuated her enviable bone structure and signature heavy eyebrows.
The star cleverly made sure her new hair got all the attention at the glitzy event by wearing a simple, sophisticated black gown by Gucci. Cut-out detailing showed off her side and back tattoos, while chunky gold rings and a fresh red manicure added some on-brand edge to her outfit.
If you'd like to try Cara's bold new cut this season, you'll want to ask your hairdresser for a thick micro fringe that ends an inch or so below your hairline, unlike the softer, eyebrow-skimming bangs the A-list has been loving lately.
Just a word of warning: fringes – and the equally popular bob – require committed upkeep and styling to look their best, meaning you'll need to keep popping to the salon for trims and update your hair tools arsenal. If you're new to 'bangs', then we recommend the longer, face-framing style as an entry point – it requires less maintenance!
