Brooklyn Beckham reveals what Prince William is really like - and ignores mention of Harry and Meghan
Brooklyn Beckham has revealed what Prince William is really like during his appearance on Monday's episode of Watch What Happens Live, seemingly snubbing Harry and Meghan in the process. The 25 year old son of David and Victoria Beckham appeared on the Bravo show to chat about his friendship with Selena Gomez and promote his new hot sauce, but the conversation quickly shifted to his famous family's close ties with the Royal Family.
Given the rumoured rift between the Beckhams and Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in recent years, it wasn't a shock when Brooklyn named the future king, aged 42, as the Royal he had spent the most time with. Host Andy Cohen, 56, asked: 'Growing up, which members of the Royal family did you see most often, especially since your family is friends with Harry and Meghan?
Ignoring the mention of the California-based royals, Brooklyn replied: "Uhh, probably William," with Andy asking: "Yeah? What's he like, is there something about him people don't get? Is he fun?" Brooklyn added: "He's just, like, the sweetest guy ever. He really is. He's really down to earth. He's a really good guy."

A surprised Andy responded: 'Wow." The alleged feud between the Beckhams and the Sussexes reportedly dates back to 2018. The tension is thought to have escalated when the Sussexes supposedly accused the Beckhams of leaking stories about them to the press, while Royal biographers suggested Meghan "didn't like the footballer's friendship with Prince William."
Fresh rumours about their relationship surfaced in May 2024, when King Charles reportedly met with David Beckham to discuss his charity work while Prince Harry was also in the UK. This comes after the Duke of Sussex previously claimed that his father was too preoccupied with 'various other priorities' to meet him during his UK visit. David and Victoria Beckham were guests at Meghan and Harry's Windsor wedding in 2018. However, the Sussexes were noticeably absent from Brooklyn Beckham's wedding to American heiress Nicola Peltz in April 2022.
Royal biographer Tom Bower spoke about the feud in his book, House of Beckham, as he outlined an exchange between Victoria and Meghan. He suggested that Meghan was "irritated" by Victoria's larger wealth and that the two of them had "little in common" when they first became acquainted. His book claims: "In Meghan’s celebrity world, ranking depended on wealth and fame.
"As a seasoned operator, Meghan deluded herself that her status in the Royal family placed her above Victoria in the social pecking order. She was irritated to discover that the Beckhams had considerably more wealth than herself. They owned five homes, had constant access to private jets, invitations to sail on yachts and much more money. And she was soon to be a duchess." According to Tom, Victoria is said to have made an effort to befriend Meghan, due to her family's friendship with Prince Harry and William.
Tom claimed that Meghan even stayed at the Beckham's residence in Beverly Hills in a bid to avoid the paparazzi during a private trip.
