For one bride and groom, windy weather turned out to be the magical ingredient that created some truly unforgettable wedding photos.

A TikToker user named Tayla Gibb shared a clip on the platform offering a look at the blustery conditions she and her now-husband faced on the day they tied the knot at the historic Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy.

In the video — captioned, "When life gives you gale-force winds" — the newlyweds can be seen posing for photos outside as strong wind gusts wildly blow the bride's hair and dress around. A trio of bridesmaids in the background also can be seen valiantly contending with the wind and trying to stay steady on their feet and keep the hems of their dresses from flying up.

Gibb wrote over her video, which has been viewed more than 11 million times, "When you were sad about the wind on your wedding day until you got your photos…"

The clip then showcased a series of candid wedding photos, taken by Roman Ivanov, capturing how the wind added a special and dramatic touch to the images. Artful swirls of fabric from the dresses surrounded the women, and the newlyweds and their guests can be seen smiling, laughing and embracing the joyful chaos of the wind.

After the first video went viral, Gibb followed up with a second video in response to people asking her to "show us more" of the magical photos. The comments were filled with compliments about the beauty and uniqueness of the images.

"These are like a renaissance painting," one user wrote, while another chimed in, "Wow, cameraman understood the assignment."

"You cannot recreate this," someone else said. "Weather makes things so different and unusual, and you’ll never forget any of this."

Another person commented, "The joy on everyone's faces is just beautiful," prompting Gibb to reply: "Full credit to my girls, husband and photographer for making the most of this."

Gibb told Newsweek that she and her husband didn't find out about the possibility for unfavorable weather on their wedding day until the night before at their rehearsal dinner.

"The boat company we had hired to transport us and our guests to our ceremony venue had informed us that, if the weather was too bad, they unfortunately would have to cancel their service," she recalled. "This was particularly worrying as our venue only allowed entrance by boat."

"As the next morning rolled around, all hope that we would be able to get there by boat faded rather swiftly as our planner received news of an extreme weather warning of 80 kilometer [50 mile] per hour winds," she continued.

The planner was able to arrange backup transportation by vehicle, but Gibb and her husband were forced to scrap their plans to hold their ceremony outside. "As a bride, you have this vision for how your day was 'meant' to happen," Gibb told Newsweek of her disappointment. "You've gone over those details time and time again, hoping for things to be picture-perfect."

Not wanting anything to spoil their special day, the bride and groom made a pact with each other to enjoy their wedding experience no matter what came.

"[The pact] allowed us to fully embrace the utter chaos that unfolded during our post-ceremony photos," Gibb said. "The wind turned into my favorite memory of the day. The laughter and genuine emotions we felt in that moment truly couldn't be replaced by anything."

"From start to finish, unexpected turbulence and all, it was just the most incredible experience," she added.
