Brad Pitt poses up a storm for GQ Style in first interview since Angelina Jolie split
After a low-key year, Brad Pitt is finally stepping back into the limelight.
The 53-year-old actor appears on three covers of GQ Style and gives his first interview since his public split with Angelina Jolie last August.
The three covers all show Brad in one of America’s great National Parks with his piercing blue eyes giving off an intense stare.
Over the course of eight days, the actor and photographer Ryan McGinley embarked on a road trip for the simple shoot. In one image, Brad is seen in nothing but an open white jacket and a silver chain.
The chain appears in the next two images which feature the actor in a pink Bottega Veneta jumper amidst a snowy landscape followed by a more jungle-themed photo taken among the long grass.
In the interview (which is described as a “raw and reflective” conversation about “love, loss, fatherhood and how to move forward after things fall apart”), Brad talks about his “weird” six months.
He admits that he has just started therapy and loves listening to the “painfully honest” Frank Ocean. The actor also opens up about his supposed alcohol problem, saying: “I was boozing too much. It’s just become a problem. And I’m really happy. It’s been half a year now, which is bittersweet, but I’ve got my feelings in my fingertips again.”
Brad has lost a considerable amount of weight since splitting from wife Angelina Jolie. He does appear more gaunt than ever on the three covers and talks openly about his custody battle: “I heard one lawyer say, ‘No one wins in court – it’s just a matter of who gets hurt worse.’ It’s just very, very jarring for the kids, to suddenly have their family ripped apart.”
The couple recently agreed to settle their divorce and custody of their children in private.
