Angelina Jolie, Disney's best dressed villain, is bewitching in corset dress at Maleficent premiere
Angelina Jolie’s ‘Maleficent’ tour wardrobe just keeps getting better and better.
The 44-year-old actress, who’s currently promoting the second film in the Maleficent franchise, opted to wear a bewitching, strapless dress on the red carpet in Rome last night: a black version of cartoon character Jessica Rabbit’s iconic, corseted gown.
The custom look, a slinky silhouette completely covered in small sequins and an asymmetric twist that highlighted her waist, was created by Atelier Versace: the Italian fashion house that designs a huge majority of Jolie’s wardrobe.
The brand was even behind the embroidered wedding dress Jolie wore to wed Brad Pitt in August 2014.

Jolie was accompanied to the premiere by her co-star, 61-year-old Michelle Pfeiffer and two of her six children, Shiloh, 13, and Zahara, 14.

All three family members co-ordinated their outfits. Shiloh wore a black, varsity jack with gold detailing and black jeans and trainers while Zahara opted for a dark green, ombré gown.
Five of the six Jolie-Pitt children, Pax, 15, Shiloh, Vivienne, 11, Zahara and Knox, 11, accompanied their mum to the LA premiere of the film on September 30, 2019.
Only Brad and Angelina’s oldest child, Maddox, 18, who is currently studying abroad in South Korea was absent. But, he did make the trip to Tokyo to walk the red carpet with his mum and sister, Zahara, on October 3, 2019.

Like Jolie, Pfeiffer also opted for a dark, block colour gown: a plunging, midnight blue velvet dress by Filipino-American designer Monique Lhuillier.
Both stars wore their hair loose and added statement earrings to complete their red carpet ensembles.
The form-fitting silhouette is one Jolie’s comfortable in: she’s worn strapless dresses and tops on numerous occasions, including at a photocall for Maleficent in Rome yesterday afternoon.
Other sartorial highlights from the film’s promotional tour have included a tiered, fringed dress by designer duo Ralph & Russo in Tokyo on 3 October and a one-shoulder, metallic Atelier Versace gown worn at the LA premiere on 30 September.
