How did you do in Yahoo Daily Fantasy last weekend? Did you put all your footballing knowledge to use and win in Gameweek 30? Or did you use our Gameweek tips to help you out?

‘ResilientAF’ certainly did. Their team scored a huge 127.45 points, which was more than enough to win a whopping £200 simply by entering our £5 ‘Premier League £1,000 Saturday’ competition – that’s a profit return of £195!

So how did ResilientAF do it? Stacking his team with players from Spurs and Leicester certainly helped…

ResilientAF put all of their defensive eggs into the Tottenham Hotspur basket – and it paid off. Spurs’ 2-0 win at Turf Moor meant there were good returns for defenders Ben Davies (7.95 points), Jan Vertonghen (6.10) and Toby Alderweireld (8.75) while goalkeeper Hugo Lloris scored a healthy 13. Teammate Christian Eriksen returned a solid 13.85.

But the star performers both came from the match at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas (21.05) and Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha (22.65) both broke the magical 20-point barrier. There were also solid returns from Leicester City duo Riyad Mahrez (15) and Jamie Vardy (13.35) as they propelled the Foxes to victory over Stoke City.

Another strong performer from Saturday was Easton.

Easton entered our special ‘£1 No Risk, Learn to Play’ league and turned his £1 into a tidy profit of £15. Unlike ResilientAF, Easton spread his selections widely and it paid off – his score of 120.25 is proof that there are many different ways to win at Daily Fantasy.

Both users picked exactly the same midfield, consisting of Mahrez, Mkhitaryan, Fabregas, Eriksen and Zaha. They also both picked Spurs defender Alderweireld and Bournemouth forward Joshua King, who was disappointing with 1.30 points. However, Chelsea striker Pedro had better returns with 12.85.

At the back, Easton plumped for Manchester United duo Antonio Valencia and David De Gea who performed admirably against West Brom, scoring 8.25 and 9.50 points respectively. However, the news wasn’t so good for Chelsea’s Gary Cahill, who could only muster 2.60.
