Tottenham plot Dominic Solanke bid as Richarlison attracts Saudi interest

Tottenham are interested in a move for Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke.

Spurs want to bring in a new No9 and Solanke is one of their transfer targets. The 26-year-old has a release clause which is believed to be around £65million.

Solanke is coming off the back of an excellent season in which he scored 19 Premier League goals. Only Alexander Isak, Cole Palmer and Erling Haaland managed more.

Ange Postecoglou wants to add more firepower to his squad and Solanke is seen as a good fit for his style. Should Spurs meet his release clause, it would be a club-record fee.

Richarlison has been linked with a move away from Spurs this summer, with clubs in Saudi Arabia thought to be tracking him. It remains to be seen if a move for former Chelsea and Liverpool frontman Solanke would be dependent on Richarlison leaving.

So far this summer, Spurs have signed midfielder Archie Gray from Leeds and South Korean winger Yang Min-Hyeok.

Postecoglou has admitted a new striker is next on his shopping list, with under two weeks until Spurs kick off the new Premier League season at Leicester on August 19.

“It’s still the area of the park we’re really probably the thinnest when I talk about squad-wise at the moment, so obviously that’s a focus for us,” said Postecoglou.
