Liverpool shirt numbers available to new signings this summer transfer window
Liverpool is entering a new era under Arne Slot this summer, following the departure of Jürgen Klopp. The German boss will be leaving Anfield after nine years in charge of the team.
Michael Edwards has also made a return to Anfield, as he assumes the role of CEO of football. Richard Hughes has also been appointed as sporting director, following the exit of Jörg Schmadtke back in January.
Slot's appointment as Klopp's successor - which is yet to be officially confirmed by the club - is the final piece to the backroom puzzle. After this, the previously mentioned trio can turn their attention to arming Slot with sufficient funds in the summer transfer window to mould the squad in the way he wants.

For Liverpool, the obvious additions are clear to see. The team desperately needs defensive reinforcements given the injuries that have plagued the squad throughout the current campaign. Andy Robertson, Joël Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Ibrahima Konaté and Kostas Tsimikas are just a few of the names to have been sidelined for an extended amount of time, which severely impacted the season.
The emergence of both Conor Bradley and Jarell Quansah eased these issues - but recruitment will still be needed. A left-footed centre-back - who can also play as a full-back - would be useful. Willian Pacho of Eintracht Frankfurt is the latest name to be mentioned in the conversation, although it is uncertain whether Slot will sign off on the deal.
Elsewhere, plans must also be made for the futures of veteran duo Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah. Both players will be entering the final year of their respective deals and decisions must be made regarding extending their time at the club, signing possible replacements, or cashing in on them.
Other players will also be leaving the club at the end of their contracts, with the injured duo of Matip and Thiago Alcântara two of the most notable. The pair have served the club well but with both players now on the wrong side of 30, Liverpool have no choice but to let them walk in a bid to rejuvenate the squad.
The Spaniard's exit will likely allow for the club to recruit midfield support for Japanese international Wataru Endõ, who has acted as the lone defensive midfielder throughout the current season. Atlanta ace Teun Koopmeiners has been heavily linked after he impressed during the Europa League meeting with the Serie A side.
Whether it is defenders, midfielders, or additional attacking options - Liverpool.com has gathered the available numbers they could be given when they arrive through the door at Anfield.

All numbers above 50 are available apart from 62 (C. Kelleher), 66 (T. Alexander-Arnold), 78 (J. Quansah) and 84 (C. Bradley).
Liverpool.com says: It's set to be a busy summer at Anfield. While there are plenty of numbers available, other notable ones such as Van Dijk's and Salah's could also be taken by someone else at the start of the 2024/25 season. Players such as Bradley and Quansah will also likely pick more prominent shirts, given their rise in the first team.
