FA Cup final: Ben Foster tells Watford icon Elton John to cancel gig on historic day
Ben Foster has issued Elton John with some sage advice to deal with his FA Cup final scheduling problem; simply cancel his gig.
The musician, a former Watford owner, is booked to perform in Copenhagen on May 18 as part of a world farewell tour.
Against the odds, his beloved Hornets will be performing that same evening at Wembley in a bid for FA Cup glory against Manchester City.
And Foster, who has played second fiddle to Heurelho Gomes through the cup run, told the former Watford chairman in no uncertain terms what he should do.
Foster told media: “It's no dilemma - he should cancel right now. Elton, you just need to cancel, sorry guys.
“I have loads of people I know who have weddings for that day and stuff.

“It is their own fault, d***heads, don't book a wedding in the summer for Cup final day.”
Javi Gracia’s men pulled off a scintillating semi-final comeback against Wolves, trailing 2-0 in the final 15 minutes of the match.
Gerard Deulofeu’s beautifully deft lob initiated the recovery, before Troy Deeney’s injury-time penalty took the game to extra time.
Former Barcelona man Deulofeu slotted home again to seal Watford’s passage to the FA Cup Final.
And Foster heaped praise upon his own team-mates.
“As the season wore on it became obvious we had the chance of doing something. I wouldn't say it has exceeded what I thought we could do because I saw what we had straight away and knew we had a decent team and a good chance to do something.
“But to be sat level on points with seventh and in an FA Cup final is a great season.”
