Manchester United and Arsenal handed kind draws in Europa League

Manchester United have been drawn against Astana, Partizan Belgrade and AZ Alkmaar in Group L of the UEFA Europa League as the 2017 winners are looking for further European glory under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Last season’s runners-up Arsenal will have to get past Eintracht Frankfurt, Standard Liege and Vitoria in Group F to advance through to the knockout stages of the tournament.

The Gunners will be looking to go one better this season after losing to Chelsea in May’s final and, in Unai Emery, they have a manager who won this competition three times with Sevilla.

Wolverhampton Wanderers booked their place in the group stages of the competition for the first time since 1980 after securing a 5-3 aggregate win over Torino.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have been placed in Group K alongside Besiktas, Braga and Slovan Bratislava.
