Zack Snyder might finish off 'Justice League' as a comic book

Zack Snyder has already discussed the idea of finishing off his Justice League story as a comic book.

As most DC fans already know, Snyder actually launched the DCEU with 2013’s Man Of Steel, which he followed up with Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice in 2016.

Snyder then shot Justice League, but the death of his daughter Autumn in March 2017 prompted him to depart the film during the post-production process.

Filmmaker Joss Whedon was brought in to finish it, but when Justice League was eventually released, Snyder fans were hugely disappointed with the result.

So much so they spent the next few years on an online crusade to get Snyder’s version of Justice League released.

Their demand was finally met in May 2020, when it was announced that Zack Snyder’s Justice League would be released as a four-part miniseries on HBO Max in the US in 2021.

But Snyder clearly has much more of his Justice League story left to tell, and he recently told Bleeding Cool he had spoken to DC publisher Jim Lee about turning them into a comic book.

He said: “I would love to do a comic book, the post-apocalyptic Knightmare world, the world has fallen, the ragtag team that’s left alive trying to put it back. Inside of that story, we would also do that story of Joker killing Robin.

“The Joker is somehow involved in the stealing of the Mother Box and using it to create the treadmill; Cyborg is going to do the math, this is what we’re going to have to do to jump back in time and warn Bruce correctly.”

Snyder was keen to stress that none of this is confirmed yet, but he did tell fans that, if they want to see it, they should ask Lee.
