It's new Netflix time again as the streaming service launches fresh content for October - including the welcome return of some hit titles.

October's biggest releases include Heartstopper season three and The Diplomat season two, offering plenty of bingeable series as the nights draw in.

There's also a seventh season of dating show juggernaut Love Is Blind to look forward to, while other returning series include Unsolved Mysteries, I Am A Killer, The Lincoln Lawyer and Hellbound.

A companion documentary to Monsters, The Menendez Brothers, offers more insight into the resurfaced case that gripped viewers in September, while another documentary, The Remarkable Life of Ibelin, tells the surprisingly emotional story of a Norwegian gamer.

Ryan Murphy series Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menedez Story reeled in Netflix subscribers during September, with a dramatisation of the 1989 murders of José and Mary Louise "Kitty" Menendez at the hands of their own sons.

True crime enthusiasts who want to know more about the case shouldn't miss this accompanying documentary that offers fresh perspective as the brothers talk for the first time in 30 years about what happened.

It's undoubtedly a madcap formula for finding your soulmate, but Love Is Blind continues to be a hit with viewers as the US version heads into season seven.

For the uninitiated, singles spend a couple of weeks living in group apartments and going on blind dates in pods, where they have to choose who to get engaged to based purely on their chats.

Couples finally see each other in person once they agree to get engaged - and of course, drama ensues in the run up to the wedding, on group trips where they meet love rivals, and finally at the altar as they choose whether to marry.

Norwegian gamer Mats Steen was just 25 when he died from a degenerative muscular disease, leaving his parents mourning what they had believed to be an isolated life.

But when they discovered his blog, it revealed the unexpectedly deep friendships he had made online in the gaming community, under his World of Warcraft name Ibelin.

This emotional documentary demonstrates the power of community even in its virtual form and is a tribute to the profound impact Steen made on his fellow gamers.

The Diplomat's addictive combination of high-stakes drama, espionage and unrealistic glamour made season one a hit, so there are sure to be plenty of subscribers looking forward to Kate Wyler's (Keri Russell) return.

Netflix bills the series as "Stately homes. State secrets. High treason. High tea." This time, there's also the addition of West Wing legend Allison Janney, who plays formidable vice president Grace Penn. On the UK side, the star cast includes Rufus Sewell, Rory Kinnear and Celia Imrie.
