Unsure what to watch? This week has seen a number of exciting films be released on streaming, all of which were the subject of major awards buzz when they first came out.

Prime Video, Paramount+ and Sky Cinema have brought the new movies to their respective platforms, meaning subscribers can pick and choose which critically-acclaimed drama they wish to see.

In Sarah Polley's magnetic drama Women Talking a group of women in a secluded commune of Mennanites gather to debate what they should do after being subjected to a horrific spate of sexual assaults by the men of their community.

The thought-provoking movie stars Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, and Rooney Mara, and it adapts Miriam Toews book of the same name which itself is based on real-life events in a Bolivian religious colony.

Damien Chazelle's bawdy and outrageous drama about the Golden Age of Hollywood has landed on Paramount+, where subscribers will be able to stream the awards contender.

The film follows an array of characters trying to make it in the movie industry, including Margot Robbie's Nellie LaRoy and Diego Calva's Manny Torres.

In Tár, Cate Blanchett portrays Lydia Tár a world-renowned conductor who becomes the first woman to lead the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra but who is then hit by allegations of misconduct.

The haunting character study earned Blanchett an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress, and also saw Todd Field be nominated for Best Director.

For those without a streaming subscription, or simply looking for something to watch on terrestrial TV, there are a number of films, classic and modern, to enjoy over the weekend.

On Saturday viewers can look forward to films like con-man thriller Catch Me If You Can, musical classic Grease and the cult hit film Death Becomes Her which stars Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn and Bruce Willis.

Ahead of the release of My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, ITV Be will be airing the original rom-com on Sunday 3 September, while other highlights that day include Judy which earned Renee Zellweger an Oscar, and Daniel Craig's final outing as James Bond in No Time to Die.
