'WandaVision' director expects some might be 'disappointed' by show finale thanks to wild theories
The director of WandaVision has said that some Marvel fans are likely to be disappointed by the show's upcoming finale, due to the swirling theories and expectations surrounding the show.
Perhaps a victim of its own mysteriousness, the show has kept viewers on the hook with limited storyline reveals through its eight-episode run so far.

As such, theories about the show and how it will wind up its first season have been running wild among fans.
Director Matt Shakman told Entertainment Weekly: “I hope that they feel like the journey was satisfying for [viewers].“
“I know there are so many theories out there; there will be a lot of people who will no doubt be disappointed by one theory or another. But we’re always telling this story about Wanda dealing with grief and learning how to accept that loss, and hopefully people will find that the finale is surprising but also satisfying, and that it feels inevitable because it’s the same story they’ve been watching the whole time.”
Last week's episode delved into the episode seven set-up, in which Kathryn Hahn's character, 'nosy neighbour' Agnes, was revealed to be Agatha Harkness, a witch from the 1600s.
Shakman went on: “What does hold it all together is that it has a big heart. It’s a love story, it’s a story of loss, and I think that resonates even more in this crazy pandemic that we’re all trying to survive right now. I think we can all understand where Wanda’s coming from, so it helps it to resonate a little bit more.”
The ninth episode of WandaVision lands on Disney+ on Friday.
