Virgin Media could lose ITV Channels and viewers are furious
Virgin Media viewers were left fuming last week when they lost access to 10 UKTV channels. And now they may not be able to watch the Love Island finale thanks to a long-standing row between ITV and Virgin Media.
The year-long dispute between ITV and Virgin Media has come to a head, with ITV demanding payment from Virgin Media for access to the channel.
Currently Virgin Media does not pay for ITV, but does for all other ITV channels (ITV2, ITVBe etc) and argues that ITV must remain free due to Broadcast Regulations.
The Guardian reports that ITV has written to Virgin Media threatening to pull all ITV content as soon as this weekend – if their new terms are not met.
The row is not directly related to UKTV, but The Guardian’s inside source claims ITV are using last week’s fallout as an “opportunity.”
Virgin Media responded to a disgruntled customer on Twitter with, “We continue to have constructive discussions with ITV. All ITV channels remain live on Virgin TV and we have no intention of removing them.”
If you do.. You will lose so many customers.. You really. Don't wanna be messing with ITV.. @UKTV was a blow but one of britiain biggest TV networks and there is news of losing itv channels….. Hey @SkyUK . You got any good broadband deals?

Virgin Media customers to lose ITV? Twitter reacts
Virgin Media viewers are none too happy about the possibility of losing even more television channels. With many Virgin Media customers paying over £100 a month for their subscriptions, many customers have taken to Twitter to vent their fury:
Wow so not only have @virginmedia lost the awesome @UKTV channels, now it looks like they will be losing @ITV channels from this weekend as well😱 This is so shocking it just gets more crazy week after week. Why anyone is still with #VirginMedia is beyond me.

UKTV….now ITV?….get a grip Virgin Media, you’re behaving like a spoilt child not a business! People pay you money for services, they don’t pay you to conduct your petty squabbles in public: Imbecilic! 🤨
