Trailer for 'GoldenEra' lands exploring the iconic N64 game Bond game 'GoldenEye'
The first trailer for documentary movie GoldenEra has landed, exploring the now iconic James Bond video game, GoldenEye.
Launching on the Nintendo 64 in 1997, two years after the 17th Bond movie was released in cinemas, GoldenEye 007 (to give it its full name) was a smash hit for the video games industry.

It sold over eight million copies worldwide, and held the position of being the highest-selling first-person shooter game for eight years, pulling in millions of gamers into its multi-player mode.
The game even scored itself a BAFTA in 1998.
As well as often being cited as one of the best video games of all time, it paved the way for the huge FPS genre, now one of the biggest genres in gaming, thanks to the likes of the record-breaking Call of Duty series.
Directed by Drew Roller, the movie meets the close-knit team behind the game's development, from writer David Doak to developer Steve Ellis.

It also looks at how their small company later suffered at the hands of the larger behemoth of the gaming industry.
It's not the first time that the game has made its way to the big screen, however, spawning the mockumentary Going For GoldenEye in 2017, in which a group of elite players face off in the GoldenEye world championships.
