The World Reacts To One Year Without Robin Williams

Robin Williams died one year ago today, and one of the most deeply loved actors of all time is still sorely missed.

The world of entertainment – and the internet in general – is already awash with warm tributes to Williams, who took his own life at his home in California at the age of 63.

Williams’ daughter Zelda, who was bafflingly trolled following the death of her father, posted this on her Instagram account last month:

Fans also took to Twitter to pay tribute to him:

Meanwhile, novelist Dan Spencer, who knew Williams, has written a deeply personal blog here about the lessons he learned from being the actor’s friend.

“Death comes to everyone,” he write in summing up. “But how you perish isn’t as important as how you live. Nobody ever lived like my pal Robin Williams.”

As touching is a tribute paid by Sarah Michelle Gellar, who co-starred with Williams on the CBS comedy show ‘The Crazy Ones’, which was among his last projects.

She posted a picture of the now famous park bench from 'Good Will Hunting’, accompanied by a quote from essayist Ralph Waldo Emerson.
