The final ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ trailer is gloriously insane
The final trailer for Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw has been released, and it amps up the anticipation for the film by, unsurprisingly, being both fast and furious, as well as gloriously insane.
The clip gives us our best look yet at what Dwayne Johnson’s Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Shaw will have to go through in the blockbuster as they tackle Idris Elba’s Brixton Lore, a former MI6 agent who wants to release a bio-threat that will wipe out most of humanity and describes himself as the “black Superman.”

Obviously that makes him quite the threat. But, as we’ve seen over the last few Fast & Furious movies, Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw are rather formidable, too, so the sight of all three of them going toe to toe should make for one of the summer’s most audacious and crowd-pleasing action films.
I mean, how could it not, when the trailer opens up with Hobbs jumping at least ten floors, landing on top of Lore, only for the pair to then fall through the glass ceiling and then land on top of a car without even a scratch.
The trailer then goes on to give us a peak at the cars, helicopters, chases, and hand to hand fights that will make up the rest of the film, too.
It also looks as though there will be an element of romance thrown in there, as Hobbs tells Shaw that his sister, played by Vanessa Kirby, is one of the “toughest, baddest, most capable women [he] has ever encountered,” much to the chagrin of Deckard.

As trailers goes, it does a great job of setting up and teasing what will hopefully be a major improvement on the lackluster summer blockbuster offerings 2019 has given us so far.
We’ll see if that’s the case when Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is released on August 2nd.
