Sylvester Stallone: 'Escape Plan 2' was the 'most horribly produced film' he's ever been in
Sylvester Stallone is in the throes of promoting Escape Plan 3, but hopefully it won't be anything like its predecessor.
The Rocky icon has called the film 'truly the most horribly produced film I have ever had the misfortune to be in'.
Starring Stallone alongside Dave Bautista, 50 Cent and Jesse Metcalfe, and directed by Steven C. Miller, it was released straight to DVD last year to howlingly negative reviews.
It also only made $16 million from its $20 million budget, so it was financially disastrous for Summit Entertainment and Lionsgate too.
But though he doesn't detail why the movie was such a painful experience, 50 Cent has had something to say about it, pulling Escape Plan franchise producer Randall Emmett into the fray.
Emmett and 50 Cent, aka Curtis Jackson, were involved in a high-profile feud earlier this year, over a debt of $1 million owed to Jackson by Emmett.
Jackson later mocked Emmett for accidentally calling him 'Fofty' in a text exchange which Jackson ensured went viral (Jackson even had a line of 'Fofty' t-shirts quickly produced, which netted him $300,000 after they all sold out in a day).
Responding to Stallone's comments, it gave Jackson a further opportunity to publicly embarrass Emmett.

In a now deleted Instagram post, Jackson said: “How the f**k I’m in the worst movie Rambo made?
“[W]hy the f**k Rocky say that. [T]his your f**king fault Randell.”
Beef with the second movie aside, Escape Plan: The Extractors was released straight to DVD in the US this week.
Meanwhile, Stallone’s final Rambo movie, Rambo: Last Blood, is due out later this year.
