'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' ticket pre-sales outstrip 'Avengers: Endgame'
Despite some slightly more muted responses than Disney may have hoped to its rebooted Star Wars trilogy – and outright mutiny from some fans following The Last Jedi – the franchise appears to be as massive as it ever was.
According to leading US ticketing site Atom Tickets (via Variety), demand is through the roof for final chapter Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
It's reporting that pre-sales are already dwarfing that of Avengers: Endgame.

After just an hour on sale on Monday this week, the site sold 45 percent more tickets for The Rise of Skywalker than it did for the last chapter in the Avengers series.
It also sold 2.5 time as many tickets as for its predecessor, Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
This figure came as Lucasfilm released the final trailer for the movie, which promises to be something of an emotional rollercoaster.
It may also promise to be butt-numbing too, following news that it will be the longest movie in the entire Star Wars series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, it will weigh in at 155 minutes, longer than The Last Jedi's 152 minutes, the previous longest Star Wars movie record holder.
For context, Star Wars: The Force Awakens had a runtime of 135 minutes, the first Star Wars movie A New Hope was 121 minutes, The Empire Strikes Back was 124 minutes and Return of the Jedi was 132 minutes.
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker lands in the UK on December 19.
