'Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker' collectible IMAX posters revealed

IMAX has revealed the first of four limited edition posters it is releasing for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, featuring the art work of acclaimed poster designer Dan Mumford.

Offering a fresh perspective on the lightsaber duel between Daisy Ridley’s Rey and Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren, teased in images and trailers for the film, the red and blue poster hints at an epic battle between the dark and light in the final film of the Skywalker saga.

Both characters can be seen with waves crashing around them as they brandish their lightsabers atop the wreckage of the second Death Star, destroyed by the Rebel Alliance at the climax of 1983’s Return of the Jedi.

Mumford has previously produced alternate posters for The Last Jedi, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Avengers: Endgame.

The four posters will be given out at select IMAX locations across the UK on the four consecutive Sundays following the film’s release on 19 December.

The designs for the other three posters will be revealed over the coming weeks.

Posters will be handed out on a strictly first-come, first-served basis between 10am – 1pm on the following dates:

Poster #1: Will be available while stocks last from Sunday 22 December to customers who can provide proof of purchase of an IMAX ticket for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on any date (either a ticket stub, or proof of booking for a future IMAX show).

Poster #2: Will be available while stocks last from Sunday 29 December to customers who can provide proof of purchase of an IMAX ticket for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker on any date (either a ticket stub, or proof of booking for a future IMAX show).
