Watch the record-breaking trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home
It seems treating Spider-Man fans mean is the way to keep them keen.
After withholding the first teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home for months, the trailer — launched Tuesday — has smashed viewing figures records.
Sony Pictures says the teaser trailer broke the 24-hour all-time record for most global views with 355.5 million trailer views, eclipsing the previous record holder, Avengers: Endgame, which drove 289 million views.
Responding to the news, Spider-Man actor Tom Holland promised on Instagram: "It only gets crazier".
Posting on his Instagram Story, he added "This is incredible. I honestly can't believe it. This movie is so crazy and I can't wait to share it with you."
The studio, which produces the Spider-Man films in collaboration with the Disney-owned Marvel Studios, claims the trailer also dominated social media conversation too and generated 'the largest 24-hour social media conversation volume of all-time with 4.5 million mentions'.

The teaser landed after months of speculation about the highly-secretive superhero sequel, with many rumours circulating about who was in the film and what it was about.
The first look confirmed that Doctor Strange stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Benedict Wong would star alongside Tom Holland's Peter Parker, and that classic villains Green Goblin and Doc Ock would also return, portrayed by Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina respectively.
Jamie Foxx is also rumoured to be returning as Electro for the film.
Spider-Man: No Way Home is coming to cinemas on 17 December.
