Ryan Reynolds hilariously responds to ‘Joker’ becoming highest grossing R-rated movie ever
Ryan Reynolds has congratulated Joker on becoming the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time.
But rather than doing so in a polite and professional manner, the star of Deadpool and Deadpool 2, both of which Joker just eclipsed to take this title, did so in a rather profane and explicit fashion. You can check out Reynolds’ hilarious message to Joker on his Twitter below.

Of course, this is the only way that we would want Reynolds to tip his hat to Todd Phillips and Joaquin Phoenix’s divisive but hugely popular take on the infamous Batman villain.
Just in case you were wondering, the characters that Reynolds lists under the love heart are from other successful R-rated movies.

This included his character Deadpool, Neo from The Matrix, Pennywise from It, Jesus from The Passion Of The Christ, while his old pal Hugh Jackman stars in Logan, The Wolfpack are in The Hangover, Mr Grey is from Fifty Shades Of Grey and Ted is the titular character in Seth McFarlane’s explicit 2012 comedy.
Now we just have to pray and hope that they’ll somehow all crossover for the most explicit R-rated movie of all time.
On Friday it was confirmed that Joker had passed Deadpool’s £610 million ($783 million) and Deadpool 2’s £611 million ($785 million) to become the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time.

Currently, Joker has grossed £614 million ($788 million), and there is every chance that it could make £780 million ($1 billion) at the box office, too, as the impressive reviews for the film and the fact that so many people are still talking about it and going to see it should maintain its staying power.
Whether that will be enough for Warner Bros to convince Joaquin Phoenix and Todd Phillips to return for Joker 2, though, still remains to be seen.
