Quentin Tarantino 'developing 'Django Unchained' sequel'
If you thought Avengers: Endgame was the crossover event of the century then think again.
That’s because a Django Unchained/The Mask of Zorro movie is apparently in the works from Quentin Tarantino.
Tarantino released his Jamie Foxx-led blaxploitation movie in 2012 and two years later wrote a comic book sequel where the title hero Django encounters Diego de la Vega, AKA Zorro.
According to Collider, the filmmaker has enlisted Jerrod Carmichael of The Carmichael Show to pen a script based on the comic book series.
The 2014 comic was released by Dynamite Entertainment and DC Comics, and takes place several years after the movie where Django is still a bounty hunter.
With a bounty still on his head, and his wife, Broomhilda to care for, Django is constantly on the road for work but soon meets Zorro, becomes his 'bodyguard' and helps him on a mission to free indigenous people from slavery.

Though the comic was released by DC it seems more than likely that Sony rather than Warner Bros will distribute the planned film.
Tarantino has discusses the crossover with former Sony head Amy Pascal, seen in the leaked emails from the Sony hack, and the studio dealt with the international distribution of Django Unchained.
Sony are also behind the filmmaker’s latest film, Once Upon A Time... In Hollywood, after he cut ties with The Weinstein Company.
It’s unlikely that Tarantino will direct the movie himself as he prefers to work with his own writing than others but there’s no doubt he will play a big part in the creative process
