'The Predator' trailer introduces a ferocious, more evolved predator for Earth to defend itself from
The latest trailer for Shane Black’s The Predator has arrived and it looks like Earth has a far greater threat to contend with compared to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s original menace.
The film opens up with Sterling K. Brown’s Will Traeger, an agent involved in acquisitions who soon acquires one of the ferocious aliens that have crash-landed on Earth.
Their arrival is triggered by a young autistic boy, Rory McKenna (played by Jacob Tremblay) whose father Quinn (Boyd Holbrook) – a former member of the 75th RANGER Regiment – discovers the predator and heads up a team to hunt them all down.
Though this time around, their targets are far more evolved as they have upgraded themselves with DNA from other species.
These bigger, badder predators are what Quinn and his team must face and you can expect quite a few casualties along the way.
The Predator features an ensemble cast including Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Jake Busey and Yvonne Strahovski.
Here’s the official synopsis:
From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.
The Predator is released in cinemas on September 13
