New movies coming to Paramount+ UK in November 2022
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (28 November)
After the 2020 movie adaptation of Sonic the Hedgehog became the most successful video game movie ever, it was a no-brainer to see Ben Schwartz's hyperactive take on the speedy hero return for a sequel. This time around, Dr Robotnik (Jim Carrey) has joined forces with bruising echidna Knuckles (Idris Elba) to take out Sonic, who is helped by fox Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey).
New TV shows coming to Paramount+ UK in November 2022
Flowers in the Attic: The Origin (all episodes from 1 November)
The Dollanganger series of gothic novels have proven fertile ground for Lifetime in recent years, with the studio releasing a franchise of movies based around the books. The first of them was Flowers in the Attic, released in 2014 and directed by future Obi-Wan Kenobi helmer Deborah Chow.
This new four-part series explores the events before that initial novel, following the younger Olivia Winfield (Jemima Rooper) as she is wooed by the master of Foxworth Hall. Inevitably, her happy marriage soon becomes a lot more of a nightmare than a fantasy.
Monster High: The Animated Series (weekly from 5 November)
The teenage kids of some of the most famous monsters of all time congregate at the super-exclusive school Monster High, where they can all fit in and be accepted. This series explores their adventures, with characters including Clawdeen Wolf, Frankie Stein and Draculaura.
Transformers: EarthSpark (episodes 1-5 from 14 November, 6-10 from 21 November)
Also available in the UK via Nickelodeon, this animated series introduces a whole new class of Transformers — the first to ever be born on Earth. The Terrans bond with their human neighbours and form whole new families.
Tulsa King (weekly from 14 November)
Sylvester Stallone goes gangster for this series, portraying a Mafia capo known as The General. On his release from prison, he is exiled to Oklahoma and has to form a whole new criminal empire for himself away from the lights of New York City. Another offering from the pen of Paramount big name Taylor Sheridan, this could join the roster of the streamer's flagship shows.
Yellowstone S5 (weekly from 14 November)
One of the biggest TV shows in the world is back as Taylor Sheridan's Western drama returns for another season. The show continues to follow the tensions between the various communities around the Yellowstone ranch in Montana, including the neighbouring Native American reservation. Kevin Costner and Kelly Reilly are among the big returning cast members.
Adriano Imperador (all episodes from 21 November)
Earning almost 50 caps for Brazil and tearing up Serie A for Inter Milan, Adriano was a prolific striker throughout the noughties. This docuseries delves into the man behind the records, tracing his journey from the favelas to the top of the sport. It's a candid portrait of a man with great affection for his origins, who never wanted to forget where he came from.
JFK Murder: Minute by Minute (all episodes from 22 November)
The assassination of American president John F. Kennedy goes under an intense microscope in this series, told from multiple perspectives as it explores the days, hours and minutes leading up to those famous gunshots in Dallas in 1963. It traces the stories of head of security Roy Kellerman, shooter Lee Harvey Oswald and Kennedy's First Lady Jackie ahead of the shooting.
George & Tammy (DELAYED TO 5 DECEMBER)
The turbulent relationship between George Jones and Tammy Wynette was a huge story within the country music world. The singers were married between 1969 and 1975, but it was a union dogged by Jones's alcoholism and unpredictable behaviour. This limited series from Lawless director John Hillcoat is a warts-and-all portrayal of the couple and their impact on the music genre they dominated.
