'No Time To Die' teaser trailer: An iconic villain returns in the thrilling first look at Daniel Craig's final James Bond film
After days of teasing, it’s finally here: the first teaser trailer for No Time To Die, the 25th James Bond film, has landed after being launched on Good Morning America. Watch it above.
It’s a thrilling first look at Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007,packing in stylish action, stunning set pieces, exotic locales, and two Bond villains for the price of one into its 2-minute run time.
Confirming rumours that began to circulate earlier this year the trailer shows Christoph Waltz’s Blofeld is making a return in Cary Joji Fukunaga’s film. Safely detained by MI6, Bond visits the SPECTRE mastermind in a secure facility.
“He’s the most valuable asset this country has,” Rory Kinnear’s Agent Tanner warns Bond as he’s being led to meet his iconic adversary, who appears to have fully lost his right eye following the injury Bond dealt him in 2015’s Spectre.

The two have crossed paths in seven films to date: From Russia With Love, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Diamonds Are Forever, For Your Eyes Only, and Spectre, and this is first time the same actor has portrayed the nefarious villain on screen twice.
“You gave up everything for her,” Blofeld says to Bond, presumably in reference to Léa Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann, who the secret agent left active service with at the end of the last film.
The trailer suggests Swann has secrets of her own, a mystery that is somehow connected to Rami Malek’s villain Safin, another Bond villain with facial scarring of his own.
“James Bond, licence to kill,” Safin purrs.

“A history of violence. I could be speaking to my own reflection. Only your skills die with your body, mine will survive at the moment that I am gone.”
“History isn’t kind to men who play God,” warns Ralph Fiennes’ M.
The trailer also confirms rumours that Lashana Lynch’s Nomi is a double-0 agent, possibly Bond’s replacement as 007 in the secret service. She’s clearly not in thrall to her predecessor, teasing him about his one “working” knee.
In No Time To Die, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.
“This film is really tremendous,” Barbara Broccoli, the film’s co-producer told EW.
“We’re really super excited by it. We always start off these movies saying two things. One is, ‘What is Bond’s emotional journey throughout the film?’ And we’ve really thrown the book at it on this one. And the other is, ‘What is he up against in terms of the villain, and the villainy, and what’s happening in the world?’ And I think on both counts we’ve really pushed the boat out.”
