New pic from 'Avatar 2' reveals 'Sopranos' star Edie Falco's character
A new image from Avatar 2 has given us our first glimpse of Edie Falco's new character for the long-awaited sequel.
The Sopranos star is playing General Ardmore in the movie, who, according to the official Avatar 2 twitter account, is 'the new head of RDA activity on Pandora'.
The RDA, in case it's been too long to recall, is the 'Resources Development Administration', the malevolent human occupying force on the resource-rich planet of Pandora.

Other RDA personnel include Giovanni Ribisi's Parker Selfridge, returning for the sequel, along with Matt Gerald as Corporal Lyle Wainfleet, the mercenary who died fighting the Na'vi, but is now somehow back along with Stephan Lang's also slain Colonel Miles Quaritch.
They join Sam Worthington and Zoe Saldana, returning as Jake Sully and his Na'vi love Neytiri, with new characters including Kate Winslet's Ronal, a free-diver of the Metkayina tribe, and Game of Thrones star Oona Chaplin as Varang.
Sigourney Weaver is also returning as Dr. Grace Augustine, another character who died in the original movie, but is somehow back for the second.
The movie wrapped its live-action filming in September, after three years, and is now deep in post-production.
After eight delays in all, it's now set for release on 16 December, 2022.
