New 'No Time To Die' photo shares new look at Rami Malek's James Bond villain
A new photo from James Bond’s next outing No Time To Die has been shared online, giving us a fresh look at Rami Malek as Safin.
The broody picture, shared on the official 007 Instagram account, shows the Oscar-winning Bohemian Rhapsody star in a woodland setting. The caption reads: “Are you ready to meet Safin (Rami Malek) in No Time To Die?”
To which the correct answer is: ‘Yes, since April’ which is when the 25th James Bond film was due to land in cinemas before the coronavirus outbreak punted it back to November.
Very little is known about Safin beyond what the cast, producers and trailers have told us about the scarred antagonist.
"James Bond. License to kill. History of violence... I could be speaking to my own reflection,” Safin purrs to Daniel Craig’s 007 in trailers for the film. “Only your skills die with your body. Mine will survive long after I'm gone... James Bond. I've made you redundant..."

He’s rumoured to be an anarchist with links to SPECTRE, the nefarious terrorism group headed up by Christoph Waltz’s Blofeld, which it seems he has outgrown.
“[Safin is] more dangerous than anyone he's ever encountered and whoever they are is smarter and stronger than SPECTRE," director Cary Joji Fukunaga explained in a recent featurette for the film.
"We’ve thrown the book at him on this one. He is really the supervillain,” producer Barbara Broccoli told Empire in 2019, “he’s the one that really gets under Bond’s skin. He’s a nasty piece of work."
No Time To Die finds Daniel Craig’s James Bond retired from active service. However, he’s drawn out of retirement by Jeffrey Wright’s Felix Leiter who is on the trail of a kidnapped scientist.
Starring Daniel Craig, Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Lashana Lynch, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, with Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz and Ralph Fiennes as “M”, No Time To Die lands in cinemas on 12 November.
