New 'The New Mutants' poster confirms Disney's corporate rebranding of 20th Century Fox
It’s official: The mouse has killed the Fox. Disney has released a new poster for The New Mutants, the long-delayed X-Men spin-off that began life as a 20th Century Fox release, and was first due to be released in 2018.
Featuring its stars Maisie Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Heaton, Blu Hunt and Henry Zaga, the poster puts the actors under an X-ray effect, showing the skulls beneath their skins.
It also exposes the newly rebranded Twentieth Century Studios logo, confirming that Disney has killed the 20th Century Fox brand that it acquired in 2019.
The press release for the new poster announced the new branding: Twentieth Century Studios in association with Marvel Entertainment presents THE NEW MUTANTS, an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants are being held for psychiatric monitoring.

When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.
20th Century Fox, the studio that originally released Star Wars, began life when Twentieth Century Pictures merged with Fox Film in 1935. Disney acquired the studio when it bought most of its parent company 21st Century Fox in 2019.
The signature elements of the studio logo – the spotlights, the monolith, the fanfare – will remain part of the studio’s ident.
The rebranding is thought to have taken place to distance itself from the still-running Fox Corporation and its many TV networks. Fox Searchlight, its indie-focussed studio, has also been rebranded as Searchlight Pictures.
The New Mutants director Josh Boone recently confirmed the film would be a PG-13 rated horror film.
