Nebula’s story has only just begun, says Karen Gillan
Karen Gillan has opened up about Nebula’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the aftermath of Avengers: Endgame, insisting that her story is only “just beginning.”
Nebula played a key role in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, and right at the end of the latter she is shown joining the Guardians Of The Galaxy as they head back out into space.

Considering just how much of a role she played in 2014’s Guardians Of The Galaxy and its follow-up Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2, too, there was a feeling that her future roles in the MCU might not be quite as prominent.
Gillan clearly disagrees with this assessment, though, as she recently told Fandom, “I don’t feel like her story is over at all. If anything, I feel like her story might just be beginning.”
“We found her in a really broken, vulnerable place and over the course of the movies, she’s had to face the source of all of her abuse. She’s just had this huge, cathartic experience and the source of the abuse has been eliminated, so what happens next?”
“That’s something that I think is incredibly interesting. The healing can start but that’s not going to be easy and it’s not going to be immediate either.”

The next film that we’re likely to see Nebula in is Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, which is once again being written and directed by James Gunn, while filming was expected to begin at some in 2020.
However, Disney’s recent announcement that filming has been delayed on all of its production because of the Coronavirus outbreak means there’s a very good chance it could get pushed back.
