National Cinema Day: The best movies to enjoy at a cut price on 2 September
National Cinema Day is returning on 2 September offering UK movie fans the chance to watch the latest films at their local cinema for a cut price for one day only.
Now in its second year, this annual event will bring moviegoers together to enjoy some incredible movies on the big screen for a small price: there's simply never been a better day to do a Barbie-Oppenheimer double bill.
Discounts vary from cinema to cinema, but most places are offering tickets for under a fiver making it the best weekend of the year for a trip to the pictures.

National Cinema Day 2023 at Cineworld
Cineworld is offering all tickets in all formats for £3 on National Cinema Day (online booking fee applies).
For Cineworld's Unlimited subscribers, National Cinema Day will give free IMAX, 4DX, ScreenX and Superscreen tickets, plus an extra discount on its National Cinema Day Special: get a regular popcorn with a regular drink for just £4, or go large for £1 extra.
National Cinema Day 2023 at Odeon
Odeon is offering all cinema tickets on 2 September for £3 (or £4 if you book online).
MyLimitless subscribers will also get free tickets to Premium Large Format screenings, letting them watch IMAX and iSense movies for no extra charge
National Cinema Day 2023 at Vue
Vue is discounting ticket prices on all films to just £3 a ticket (with a 90p booking fee if you book online).
National Cinema Day 2023 at Picturehouse
The Picturehouse chain is also offering all tickets to all movies for £3
Check local listings for local offers as many indie cinemas and smaller chains will be running similar deals to the bigger multiplexes too.
The best movies to watch on National Cinema Day 2023
Denzel Washington returns for move action-packed vengeance in The Equalizer 3 - in cinemas from 30 August.
US box office sensation Sound of Freedom arrives in UK cinemas from 1 September.
New horror film Cobweb arrives on 1 September if you're looking for chills and thrills.
Steven Spielberg's dino-classic Jurassic Park is being re-released on 1 September in 3D.
Or if you're looking to catch up on some recent hits Barbie, Oppenheimer, Blue Beetle, The Meg 2, Scrapper, Gran Turismo, The Blackening, and Strays are all still playing and are well worth at least £3 of your hard-earned cash.
