Yahoo Movies Ryan Reynolds says Deadpool & Wolverine is meant to be a "one-off"
Ryan Reynolds has played down hopes for a sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine.
The sequel finally sees frenemies Deadpool and Wolverine join forces in a full feature-length movie in the MCU for the first time.
Starring Reynolds and Hugh Jackman as their iconic Marvel characters, the film sees the Time Variance Authority (TVA) disrupt Deadpool while living his quiet life as he is enlisted to once again save the universe, teaming up with an alternate version of Wolverine.
Reviews of Deadpool & Wolverine have been largely positive, with the film currently standing at an 81% Rotten Tomatoes rating based on 195 reviews.

But despite all the fanfare around the chaotic and comedic superhero film, IF star Reynolds has said that Deadpool & Wolverine is only meant to be a "one-off".
In an interview with Collider, Reynolds, Jackman, and director Shawn Levy discussed the reactions to the film and whether it had made them consider working together on another MCU project.
Reynolds said that the film "was not meant to be a commercial for another movie", and that there are no plans for Deadpool & Wolverine 2.
"It was really, genuinely meant to be a true one-off," he said. "Life is hard for a lot of people out there, and it's been that way for a long time.

"For people to walk out of the movie theatre feeling like they just had the best two hours of their entire life, something that is unexpectedly moving, but still retains all that audacity and wild subversion that you come to expect with this character and this world – and then there's just an enormous wrestling match with expectations and stuff like that.
"It's always a wild thing to see. I'm so thrilled Marvel is as thrilled as they are. We are our hardest critics, so for me, this is the best movie I've ever been a part of."
Jackman was also asked if this was the last time he would play Wolverine, after announcing his retirement from the role with 2017's Logan.
The Greatest Showman star shared: "It literally does not matter how I answer this... because I'm clearly a liar. But what's so great about my lie is I believed it. Fully. I fully believed it."
Deadpool & Wolverine is in cinemas now.
