Movie stars who starred in their own reality shows
Sylvester Stallone is hardly the first megastar to make a play for the Kardashian's crown
Sylvester Stallone is not what most people think of when they imagine a reality TV star but the movie star is swapping out his Rocky Balboa robe for the more relaxed setting of unscripted television.
In the aptly titled The Family Stallone, the Rambo star will be joined by his wife Jennifer and their three daughters Sistine, Sophie and Scarlet and the show will offer an insight into their family dynamic and everyday life.

Premiering on Paramount+, The Family Stallone was a big surprise when it was announced earlier this year but the action hero is hardly the first superstar to cash in on their fame and head to the lucrative world of reality TV.
Below, we round up five acting superstars who later fronted their own reality shows.
Sylvester Stallone
The enigmatic 76-year-old Oscar nominee was not going to be anybody's first choice for a reality show but Sylvester Stallone has taken the plunge accompanied by his family including daughter Sistine who is following in her father's steps with a Hollywood career.

Fans of the actor may not care to watch him pulling pranks on his daughters but a couple of old friends in Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dolph Lundgren turn up.
Jean-Claude Van Damme
The Muscles from Brussels was not exactly at a high point in his career when he joined forces with ITV for a a fly on the wall account of his life in 2011 but the charismatic Belgian seems made for reality TV. The show wasn't just a look-at-how-great-my-life-is account of a multi-millionaire actor but the viewer got to see Van Damme being rejected for a role, his regrets over an earlier, hedonistic lifestyle and also his thorny relationship with Hollywood.
Mark Wahlberg
Essentially advertising for the burger chain he co-owns of the same name, Wahlburgers depicts the very large Wahlberg family expanding the restaurant and generally loving their mother Alma.
Mark Wahlberg is shown to be very hands on in his running of the business while his brother Paul is in charge of the culinary side of things. Judging by the guest appearances on the show, Wahlberg's speed dial includes NFL legend Rob Gronkowski, billionaire Robert Kraft and Justin Timberlake.
Amy Schumer
The polarising comedian became pregnant in 2019 and decided to document every explicit detail for HBO Max series Expecting Amy. The show did not look away from the complications Schumer suffered during pregnancy including hyperemesis gravidarum which is a condition that causes severe nausea and wait loss. The show also details Schumer working on a new show she intended to film while pregnant.
Lindsay Lohan
Uninsurable in Hollywood and judged not to be worth taking a risk on, Lindsay Lohan went where many a fallen star had gone before – MTV.
Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club wasn't just a behind the scenes look at the troubled star's life but a structured reality show more interested in the lives of her employees at her Mykonos nightclub. The show was criticised for featuring very little of Lohan who made the decision to scarcely appear after the negative experience of making docuseries Lindsay for the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Lohan had disliked how she had been portrayed in the earlier show.
