Mission: Impossible 6 is go, and heading for Paris this summer

After some internal wheelings and dealings held up production – said to have been over a pay dispute – ‘Mission: Impossible 6’ is now officially ready to go.

After jaunts in London and Vienna, the production is in talks to shoot in Paris, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tom Cruise will be returning as agent Ethan Hunt, and it’s thought that filming will begin as soon as spring or early summer this year.

Also returning will be Christopher McQuarrie, the screenwriter turned director who helmed ‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ in 2015.

As well as sitting in the director’s chair, McQaurrie has penned the new movie too.

It’s said that the movie was held up because of a dispute over Cruise’s salary, but a deal was settled on in September last year.

The movie is due out in July, 2018.

The ‘Mission: Impossible’ series has been highly lucrative for Paramount, the studio behind it. It’s scooped a box office haul of nearly $3 billion (£2.4 billion) since its first film in 2006.

‘Rogue Nation’ made $682 million (£547 million) from its $150 million (£120 million) budget.
