Life found a way: 25ft Jeff Goldblum statue unveiled in London
Commuters coming into London today were shocked to find a huge recreation of Jeff Goldblum in front of Tower Bridge.
NOW TV revealed the 25ft statue of Jeff Goldblum on London’s South Bank to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s dino-classic Jurassic Park.
The incredibly lifelike recreation of Goldblum’s Jurassic Park character Dr. Ian Malcolm stands at over three metres high and nearly 7 metres long and took over six weeks and 250 painstaking hours to make.
Londoners stopped to take selfies with the magnificent erection crafted in honour of the Chaotician’s iconic shirtless moment in the film, that has become a meme in itself.
Explaining the seemingly unexplained reason his character needed to be topless, Goldblum recently said: “It’s supposed to be Costa Rica, right? So things are hot and I’m sure I’m in some sort of fever. So all the logic is that we got to get some of these wet clothes off immediately. As I remember, I don’t think anybody fought me on that.”
Goldblum recently reprised his role as Ian Malcolm in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom in an extended cameo.
NOW TV invites Jurassic Park fans down to the lawns of Potters Field to soak up the sun in deck chairs with some ‘tors-ome’ views of Jeff. Spielberg’s 1993 sci-fi classic is available to stream on NOW TV, with a Sky Cinema Pass, available for £9.99, contract free.
