Leonardo DiCaprio joins insanely star-studded cast for new Netflix film
The notoriously choosy Leonardo DiCaprio has lined up his next film, and it’s an incredibly star-studded affair.
The Oscar-winner, who only appears on screen every few years, is set to star alongside (takes deep breath) Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Ariana Grande, Kid Cudi, Jonah Hill, Himesh Patel, Rob Morgan and Matthew Perry for Netflix’s Don’t Look Up.
The film, directed by Adam McKay, boasts one of the most glittering ensemble casts in recent Hollywood history.
McKay, whose films include Step Brothers, Vice and The Big Short, tweeted: “Can’t wait to work with all of these talented actors.”

Don’t Look Up tells the story of two low-level astronomers who go on a media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy planet Earth.
The film is reportedly expected to begin filming later this year.

McKay, whose last film Vice told the story of former US vice president Dick Cheney, says he wanted to work on something a bit lighter as a palette cleanser.

"I needed to laugh because that was the bleakest thing I've ever worked on," he told Insider.
"I think, God almighty do we need laughter right now," said McKay talking about the coronavirus pandemic and the upcoming US election. "It's the only way I'm getting through this.”
