Justice League film for 2015?

Warner and DC set timeframe for all-star superhero movie

Warner Bros. and DC Comics' all-star superhero movie 'The Justice League' is aiming for a release in 2015, the studio has revealed.

The team features Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash and Wonder Woman as part of a crime fighting supergroup, in a similar vein to the recent Marvel Comics film version of 'The Avengers'.

If it makes its deadline, it will be the first time that the Justice League will have hit the big screen since their first appearance in comic books in 1960, predating the appearance of Marvel's 'Avengers' by three years.

So far there is no director on board, after Batman helmsman Christopher Nolan ruled out his involvement in the project, saying he had done all he wanted to with Batman.

“We've had our say on the character… I've got no plans to do anything more, and certainly, no involvement with any Justice League project,” he said.

But on hand to write the script is Will Beall, who has just written 'Gangster Squad', the star-studded mob actioner featuring Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin and Nick Nolte.

Elsewhere, DC's Superman reboot 'Man of Steel', which is co-produced by Nolan, directed by 'Watchmen's Zack Snyder and stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent and Michael Shannon as General Zod, will be out in June next year.
