‘Justice League’ cinematographer hated Joss Whedon’s cut so much he cried watching it
Justice League cinematographer Fabian Wagner has attacked Joss Whedon’s cut of the blockbuster, admitting he was so disappointed in what had happened to the film he cried all the way through watching it.
For those of you that can’t remember, Joss Whedon was brought on to oversee the reshoots and editing of Justice League after its original director Zack Snyder had to depart the film. Ever since its release in November, 2017, die-hard Snyder fans have lobbied hard for his version of Justice League to be released.

Wagner’s comments to Comic Book Debate are only going to galvanise Snyder supporters even more. After being asked whether he had seen Whedon’s Justice League cut, he responded, “I have, unfortunately.”
He didn’t stop there, though, because when Wagner, who has also worked on Sherlock and Game Of Thrones, was asked just how much changed after Whedon took over from Snyder he added, “It’s really hard to say because I was watching it and I think I was crying all the way through.”

“So it’s hard for me to say exactly how much was changed, but a lot was changed. It looked very different, and it’s sad for me because I loved working with Zack. I had the best time of my life.”
“There were many other things on that movie that made it so good apart from the fact that I was working with Zack and the whole gang. I met my wife on that job. There [were] a lot of other things. It was just a great shoot, and so it was a shame to see the film the way it turned out to be.”
