Gargantuan running time for 'It: Chapter Two' revealed
Director Andy Muschietti has revealed the gargantuan running time for It Chapter 2, confirming that it will last for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
That’s a full half an hour longer than It Chapter 1, which hit cinemas in September, 2017, when it received critical acclaim before it went on to smash numerous box office records as it grossed £565.7 million ($700.4 million).
But those of you worried by the length of It Chapter 2 needn’t worry, as Muschietti insists that no-one that has already seen the film has had any complaints about its running time.

"A movie is very different when you're writing the script and you're building a story compared to what the final product is,” Muschietti explained to Digital Spy.
"At the beginning, when you're writing and building the beats of the story, everything that you put in there seems very essential to the story. However, when you have the movie finally edited and it's 4 hours long, you realise that some of the events and some of the beats can be easily lifted but the essence of the story remains intact.”

"You cannot deliver a 4-hour movie because people will start to feel uncomfortable – no matter what they see – but we ended up having a movie that is 2 hours and 45 minutes, and the pacing is very good. Nobody who's seen the movie has had any complaint."
It Chapter 2 will see Jessica Chastain, James McAvoy, Bill Hader, Jay Ryan, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ranone and Andy Bean taking on Bill Skarsgard’s Pennywise this time around.
We’ll finally get to see how It Chapter 2 compares to its predecessor when it is released on 6 September.
